We have a motto around these parts during the Christmas season- ‘Go big or go home’. Well, it may not be an official motto… but nonetheless, we love turning the Smokies into a winter wonderland for a few months out of the year! There are so many incredible places to see twinkly, colorful lights across Sevier County. If you don’t know where to start, we recommend these places for the best Christmas lights in the Smokies!

These two mini golf locations transform into an insanely beautiful winter dream every year for the holidays. Crave golf Club, typically a candy-lover’s paradise, becomes a winter wonderland with dozens of trees and lights. For the first time ever, you can now play their indoor course by the glow of Christmas lights!

Our neighbors at Toy Box Mini Golf bring those toys under the tree to life year-round, but during the holidays you can walk through tunnels of lights while you enjoy an interactive game of mini golf! The photo ops are endless- make sure to grab that Christmas card photo while you’re there!

This drive-through light show is a favorite among locals and visitors. As you drive through, tune into the radio station they choose and watch as the lights twinkle along to the music! This show has always taken place at Smokies Stadium, and this year will be the last year of shows there before they take on a new adventure down the road at Soaky Mountain Water Park. In 2022 you can enjoy both with combo tickets- don’t miss out!

Of course, we can’t leave Dollywood out of this conversation! In true Dolly Parton fashion, the decorating team makes sure everything is extravagant and not detail is left behind during the holidays at Dollywood. It’s so incredible that you don’t have to wait for the sun to go down to feel the Christmas spirit (although at night it is a bit more magical).

Follow along the Riverwalk Nature Trail in Pigeon Forge and experience the newest additions to Winterfest! This year, the City of Pigeon Forge made a huge investment to bring the Riverwalk to life with the Wonders of Light Walking Trail. This totally free experience might just be your favorite during your holiday visit!

In 2022, our friends at Lumberjack Feud put up a 30-foot-tall Christmas Tree for their celebration with Paula Deen! This tree sits on the Adventure Park balcony- high enough for everyone to see from the Parkway. When you visit Lumberjack Feud, stop and take in this beautiful woodsy-themed tree!
