Things to Do on the 4th of July in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg

Wondering what’s up in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for Independence Day? We can help with that! The Smokies area always brings the party when it comes to the 4th of July. We sure do love a good celebration around here; especially when there are fireworks and sweet tea involved! So let’s get into a couple fun things to check out this weekend!

  1. Patriot Festival- July 3rd

186 Old Mill Ave. Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

Locals and visitors look forward to this show every year. This FREE ENTRY event always makes for a special time with family and friends! This year, the firework show will be held at 9:45 p.m. on July 3rd and will last 20 minutes. The party starts at 4 p.m. with food vendors, then at 5:30 p.m. the live music starts with Brad Hudson Band, and Rumours (a Fleetwood Mac tribute band). At 8:30 country music star Clint Black will take it away!

  1. Gatlinburg 4th of July Parade

The parade kicks off at 12:01 a.m. on July 4th and goes more than a mile throughout the city of Gatlinburg! We highly encourage arriving early on July 3rd to ensure a good spot. There’s definitely a reason y’all travel from far and wide to catch this amazing parade! Following the parade, at 10:00 p.m. on July 4th be sure to catch the firework show. (Bonus: catch live music all over town on July 4th, all day long!)

These awesome firework shows do not contradict each other, so if you can make it to both we think that would make for an awesome, patriotic weekend!
