Barbecue is a staple of the south, and there’s no shortage of delicious BBQ here in the Smokies! Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are home to some of the tastiest barbecue restaurants in the southeast, and we’re here to share our three favorites with you!
Starting us off is a Tennessee classic: Puckett’s Grocery and Restaurant. New to Pigeon Forge in 2019, Puckett’s is a favorite among locals and visitors. Puckett’s has built a name on hosting live, local musical acts and serving Southern staples. Keep an ear out for what band is playing on the weekends and enjoy live music!
Bennett’s Pit Bar-B-Que is AMAZING! And don’t just take our word for it; it was rated Number 1 Best Barbecue in the 2020 Best of Pigeon Forge Awards. They won that award with good reason, too. You’ll just have to try it yourself to find out why!
Delauder’s BBQ in Gatlinburg puts in the work when it comes to excellent barbecue. The long work hours and passion for feeding people delicious food is easy to notice when you bite into that fall-off-the-bone goodness! Their unfussy venue with checkered tablecloths offers a basic menu of smoked meats such as pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and sausage. Make sure to try their mac and cheese, too!
Barbecue is a southern delicacy and you can’t come to the Smokies without getting your fill! Let us know which one you try!
